Stool, 1941

The creation of a stool made entirely of wood came during the difficult period of restricted metal supplies and as part of the collaboration between the Ateliers Jean Prouvé and the Vauconsant firm. With three or four legs, these stools were made to the same plan as the tables and tall pedestal tables: solid wood profiled legs connected by metal plates from the Ateliers Jean Prouvé. Sales of this stool seem to have been limited to a few models supplied to Solvay, in Dombasle, around 1941–1942.
